The Walbridge, Ohio plant of AK Tube LLC, a subsidiary of AK Steel (NYSE: AKS), has been recognized for outstanding safety performance by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Division of Safety and Hygiene. The recognition is part of a collaborative safety awareness program established by the Northwest Ohio Safety Council.
National-Oilwell Varco, Inc. (NYSE:NOV) stock climbed 1.99% to $71.37. The company on May 20 announced that its Board of Directors has approved an increase in the regular quarterly cash dividend to $0.26 per share of common stock from $0.13 per share of common stock, payable on June 28, 2013 to each stockholder of record on June 14, 2013. The Company has increased its quarterly cash dividend every year since the Company started paying cash dividends.
Additionally, NOV’s stock had its “buy” rating restated by equities research analysts at TheStreet in a research note issued to investors on May 27.
International Paper Company (NYSE:IP) stock gained 1.66% to $47.84. The company on May 21 announced the retirement of a senior leader and three other leadership moves. Maximo Pacheco, senior vice president, president, IP EMEA, announced his retirement from International Paper and the board of directors of the ILIM Group, a 50:50 joint venture in Russia, effective September 30, 2013.
