Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) updates web search services


Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) recently announced that it has updated its web search services to improve search results. This strong move is made by Google to keep its lead in the industry. The last update Google did was the panda update, in the year 2010. This new update in the search algorithm of Google is the hummingbird. This update will affect most of the search queries searched on Google.

This new update will take care of the complex queries asked by the users. Ever since people have become comfortable with search, they have started searching complex questions on Google. Amit Singhal, senior vice president of search, said that search algorithm of Google had to go through some basic rethinking of keeping the search results relevant.
Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) is the largest online advertising company. Last year it had 32 percent of worldwide digital ad revenue. This year it has been estimated to be 33 percent. Facebook would take the second place with 5.4 percent, followed by yahoo at 3 percent as per projections.

The update also includes a Knowledge graph feature. This tool will let users easily find more relevant information on the specified topics. This will help users to search data quickly without extra clicks. This graph would also entitle users to compare items easily with just few clicks.

These updates were unfolded at the same place where Google’s co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin worked in the early days.
This update also includes the updating of search application for Apple Inc. This update will let apple user’s setup notifications for events and would enable reminders across various devices.
This new update will definitely increase Google’s belonging, will see an increase in its stocks, and will further gain trust of the stakeholders. This update will help Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) to step forward of competitors like Microsoft’s Bing.
